Overview
This session examines the varied experiences of menopause across different identities and communities, and what these mean within a changing workplace environment. It explores menopause beyond the mainstream narrative, highlighting diverse and non-traditional journeys shaped by gender identity and lived experiences, including those of transgender, non-binary, Two-Spirit, Indigenous, and racialized individuals.
It also emphasizes that menopause is not a one-size-fits-all experience, but while people may navigate this life stage in different ways, there are shared threads of understanding and common meaning. The discussion concludes by considering how these intersectional experiences influence career progression, workplace inclusion, and organizational support.
