Public Service Pride Week: August 18-22, 2025
Together, We Create Change

Public Service Pride Week is more than a celebration—it’s a global movement uniting public servants in a shared commitment to 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion. Its reach continues to expand, with Canadian embassies and missions worldwide proudly participating, ensuring diversity, equity, and belonging are represented on the international stage.
2025 Theme: "Together, We Create Change"
This year’s theme highlights the collective power of individuals and teams in advancing inclusivity and equity for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the public service. It calls on everyone—leaders, allies, and employees—to work together to create safe, empowering, and inclusive workplaces for all.
Key Focus Areas
✅ Unity & Collaboration – Real change happens when individuals, teams, and organizations unite to break barriers and build inclusive spaces.
✅ Shared Responsibility – Inclusion is a collective effort. Allies, leaders, and all employees play a role in driving equality and belonging.
✅ Driving Change through Action – Beyond dialogue, real progress requires tangible actions: improving policies, providing training, and addressing systemic barriers.
✅ Celebrating Progress & Community – Recognizing achievements while committing to continued growth in diversity and inclusion.
✅ Inspiration & Leadership – Encouraging public servants to lead by example, foster inclusion, and contribute to lasting change.
Across Canada, there is growing interest from some provincial, territorial, and municipal governments in integrating Public Service Pride Week into their events, reinforcing the importance of inclusive workplaces at all levels. We also welcome public services globally to join this initiative, fostering international collaboration and solidarity in advancing workplace inclusion.
This is our opportunity to come together, amplify our impact, and create lasting change.
