That’s a Wrap on Public Service Pride Week 2025!
Public Service Pride Week 2025 brought together thousands of public servants across Canada — and beyond — to celebrate inclusion, amplify 2SLGBTQIA+ voices, and advance equity in the workplace. With the theme Together, We Create Change, this year’s events underscored the power of community in driving meaningful progress.
Throughout the week, more than 20 virtual and in-person events invited participants to learn, share, and connect. From the national Pride Flag raising to conversations on identity, intersectionality, allyship, and digital safety, the week highlighted both the progress made and the work that still lies ahead.
A huge thanks to the dedicated organizers, volunteers, and networks who made this week possible, and every public servant who showed up in solidarity. Together, we’re helping build a more inclusive, representative, and empowered federal public service.
Throughout PSPW, we saw a clear message: change is happening — and it’s being led by public servants who care.

2025 Theme: "Together, We Create Change"
This year’s theme highlights the collective power of individuals and teams in advancing inclusivity and equity for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the public service. It calls on everyone—leaders, allies, and employees—to work together to create safe, empowering, and inclusive workplaces for all.
Key Focus Areas
Unity & Collaboration – Real change happens when individuals, teams, and organizations unite to break barriers and build inclusive spaces.
Shared Responsibility – Inclusion is a collective effort. Allies, leaders, and all employees play a role in driving equality and belonging.
Driving Change through Action – Beyond dialogue, real progress requires tangible actions: improving policies, providing training, and addressing systemic barriers.
Celebrating Progress & Community – Recognizing achievements while committing to continued growth in diversity and inclusion.
Inspiration & Leadership – Encouraging public servants to lead by example, foster inclusion, and contribute to lasting change.
Across Canada, there is growing interest from some provincial, territorial, and municipal governments in integrating Public Service Pride Week into their events, reinforcing the importance of inclusive workplaces at all levels. We also welcome public services globally to join this initiative, fostering international collaboration and solidarity in advancing workplace inclusion.
This is our opportunity to come together, amplify our impact, and create lasting change.
