A fascinating look at exciting new research by the Ghosts of Vimy Student Research Project into the experiences of LGBTQ2S+ soldiers and nursing sisters in the First World War. This 1-hour presentation and discussion will be delivered by student researchers Sarah Worthman (Memorial University of Newfoundland) and Pascale Malenfant (McGill University). Hear the stories of queer soldiers and nurses and take a peek inside Canada’s courts martial records as we shine a spotlight on one of the First World War’s invisible minorities.
