D\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par les membres du R\u00e9seau de la Fiert\u00e9 \u00e0 la fonction publique (RFFP), ce programme a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 en r\u00e9ponse directe \u00e0 un besoin identifi\u00e9 d\u2019avoir un leadership plus repr\u00e9sentatif et un accompagnement pour surmonter les obstacles professionnels, ainsi qu\u2019un soutien pour faire face aux d\u00e9fis en milieu de travail, tels que l\u2019isolement et la discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>Ce programme de six mois se d\u00e9roule chaque ann\u00e9e de janvier \u00e0 juin, et se conclut par une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de remise des dipl\u00f4mes en juillet. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un mentorat structur\u00e9, le programme favorise les liens, la croissance professionnelle et l\u2019autonomisation, permettant aux participant\u00b7es de s\u2019\u00e9panouir tant sur le plan personnel que professionnel.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<b>Une croissance constante et une participation soutenue<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation, le programme conna\u00eet une croissance remarquable :\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\" class=\" translation-block\"><b>Cohorte 1 (2022-23<\/b><strong>)<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> : 13 mentor\u00e9\u00b7es, 13 mentors<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\" class=\" translation-block\"><b>Cohorte 2 (2022-23<\/b><strong>)<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> : 32 mentor\u00e9\u00b7es, 30 mentors<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Cohort 3 <\/b><strong>(2024-25)<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> 48 mentor\u00e9\u00b7es, 46 mentors<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Cohort 4 (2025-26) :<\/strong> Les demandes de participation sont maintenant termin\u00e9es. Ce groupe comprend 70 mentor\u00e9\u00b7es et 70 mentors, et le programme se d\u00e9roulera de janvier \u00e0 juin 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cette progression r\u00e9guli\u00e8re t\u00e9moigne non seulement de la demande, mais aussi de la confiance que les communaut\u00e9s 2ELGBTQIA+ et nos alli\u00e9\u00b7es placent dans le programme.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how the program works: we build two communities-mentors and mentees-and support them every step of the way. Mentors are executives and senior managers with multiple years of experience in the Public service. Mentees are Public service employees in the beginning or in the middle of their careers. We know that many executive and manager-level public servants want to give back as mentors but aren&#8217;t always sure how to start. That&#8217;s where we come in.<\/p>\n<p><b>Autonomiser les mentors et les mentor\u00e9\u00b7es<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Avant le d\u00e9but de chaque cohorte, les mentors participent \u00e0 une s\u00e9rie d\u2019orientations en trois parties, anim\u00e9e par des sous-ministres et cadres sup\u00e9rieurs, offrant des perspectives pr\u00e9cieuses sur diff\u00e9rents styles de leadership et de mentorat. Pour renforcer ces liens, la cohorte 3 a mis en place <\/b>un processus <b>de jumelage am\u00e9lior\u00e9<\/b>, utilisant des formulaires de candidature pour mentors et mentor\u00e9\u00b7es qui se refl\u00e8tent l\u2019un et l\u2019autre, un comit\u00e9 de jumelage et des outils assurant les meilleurs jumelages possibles entre mentors et mentor\u00e9\u00b7es. Cette approche nous a permis d\u2019accepter tous les candidat\u00b7es \u00e9lligibles sans en exclure aucun\u00b7e, tout en cr\u00e9ant des jumelages enrichissants pour chacun\u00b7e.\n<p>Participants describe the program as meaningful and transformative. Mentees often share that the mentorship experience helped boost their confidence, expand their network, and navigate their careers with a new sense of clarity and purpose. Mentors, in turn, find the experience as enriching and inspiring, often highlighting how much they, too, learned and grew through the process. The fact that many mentors return for future cohorts speaks to the program&#8217;s deep impact and long-lasting value.<\/p>\n<b>Innover gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019observation au travail<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Nouveau volet dans la cohorte 3, <b>l\u2019option d\u2019observation au travail<\/b> a permis aux mentor\u00e9\u00b7es de d\u00e9couvrir en temps r\u00e9el les environnements de leadership. Qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse d\u2019assister \u00e0 des r\u00e9unions, de participer \u00e0 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements ou d\u2019accompagner leur mentor dans son quotidien, les mentor\u00e9\u00b7es ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019une immersion concr\u00e8te dans les espaces d\u00e9cisionnels et le leadership en action.\n<p>The Pride Mentoring Program is more than a career development tool-it&#8217;s a movement toward inclusive leadership, meaningful connection, and lasting change in the federal public service.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tQuestions et R\u00e9ponses\t<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wm-accordion clearfix\" data-active=\"1\" data-mode=\"accordion\">\r\n<div class=\"wm-item wm-item-wrap\"><h3 class=\"wm-item-title\" data-tags=\"\" data-tag-names=\"\">1. Qu'est-ce que le programme de mentorat de la Fiert\u00e9 ?<\/h3><div class=\"wm-item-content clearfix 1WhatisthePrideMentoringProgram\"><p>The Pride Mentoring Program fosters a relationship between two people, with support from others, aimed at professional development and empowered community building. It is based on mutual respect, trust, and connection. PSPN members asked for relatable leadership support, ways to overcome barriers to career advancement due to sexual orientation and gender identity and for advice on how to navigate other unique challenges of being 2SLGBTQIA+ in the federal public service (ie. feelings of isolation, discrimination, etc.) This program has been developed around these needs.The experience, insight and guidance provided by mentors can be invaluable to people at an earlier or stalled career stage and empowers them to identify and take next steps. The value of a professional relationship outside line management structures, often from a different part of the organisation or different organisation altogether, provides a confidential space for the mentee to freely discuss goals and objectives. In turn, mentors have the opportunity to develop their leadership and interpersonal skills, reflect on their own practice, and use their experience and expertise to support the development of others.<strong><\/p>\n<p>Les MENTOR\u00c9(E)S<\/strong> auront l'occasion d'acqu\u00e9rir une exp\u00e9rience sur le terrain en suivant leurs mentors et en se faisant une id\u00e9e de la progression de leur carri\u00e8re en tant que membres des communaut\u00e9s 2ELGBTQIA+. Quand a lieu le programme de mentorat de la Fiert\u00e9 ?<\/h3><div class=\"wm-item-content clearfix 4WhendoesthePrideMentoringProgramtakeplace\"><p>A new cohort of the mentoring program will launch each fall, with the mentoring relationship spanning from January to June of each year.This timeframe provides six months for mentors and mentees to collaborate, address challenges, and work on skill development.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wm-item wm-item-wrap\"><h3 class=\"wm-item-title\" data-tags=\"\" data-tag-names=\"\">5. Quelle est la structure du programme de mentorat de la Fiert\u00e9 ?<\/h3><div class=\"wm-item-content clearfix 5WhatdoesthestructureofthePrideMentoringProgramentail\"><p>Throughout the mentoring program, the PSPN provides direct support and oversees the relationships and programming.The program includes at least 6 regular 1:1 meetings between mentors and mentees, group sessions as well as a recommended but optional job shadowing experience. Job shadowing can take many forms and is decided by the mentor and the mentee together according to availabilities and desired outcomes. It can be as simple as inviting the mentee to observe a meeting between the mentor and their colleagues or stakeholders. Other ideas include participating together in a networking event, a conference or any other work event.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The topics to be discussed could include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>faire son coming out\/\u00eatre out au travail ;<\/li>\n<li>la gestion des interactions difficiles avec des coll\u00e8gues dans un environnement de travail;<\/li>\n<li>la planification et l'\u00e9volution de carri\u00e8re ; et<\/li>\n<li>le d\u00e9veloppement professionnel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, mentees are strongly encouraged to engage with their cohort, meeting at least once a month to foster a sense of community and mutual support.Feedback sessions are conducted both midway through the program and at its conclusion to gather valuable insights for shaping future cohorts.Handbooks are also furnished to both mentors and mentees, offering comprehensive guidance throughout the program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wm-item wm-item-wrap\"><h3 class=\"wm-item-title\" data-tags=\"\" data-tag-names=\"\">6.
