Panel Discussion: Putting forward sexually diverse women and the issues that are unique to them
Sexually diverse women are an important part of the LGBTQ2+ communities, they are diverse and they are strong, we want to celebrate them and give them a voice. Being at the crossroads of gender and sexual orientation oppression, lesbian communities face many prejudices, fueled by a dominant culture that still offers a rather negative image of them tinged by patriarchy. Even within LGBTQ2+ struggles, women’s realities are often overshadowed and this is an opportunity to discuss the sexually diverse women of the CAF and DND. This is a topic that is not often discussed and allows for diversity in EDI topics.
